The Old Pumphouse at Land’s End Private Game Reserve offers guests a luxurious hideaway on the banks of the Kariega River in the Eastern Cape. Once home to irrigation pumps decades ago, this historic structure has been beautifully transformed into a secluded retreat where luxury and nature meet.

This romantic, self-catering unit accommodates two guests in a sumptuous king-size bed. Upon arrival, savor complimentary homemade roosterbrood while relaxing on the deck, watching wildlife roam along the riverbank.

Paddle down the Kariega Rriver in your canoe and immerse yourself in the magnificent birdlife, or set out on foot to explore the reserve and its abundant wildlife.

Our dream has always been to share the privilege of growing up in the African bush. We know what this place has given us, and we have no doubt you’ll find it here too.

The Old Pumphouse is entirely off the grid, with limited cellphone reception - though a short walk will reconnect you to the outside world.

For larger groups, we also offer accommodation at The Homestead, which sleeps up to 30 guests.
